Plastic Film Squeezer Machine
Efficiently dewaters and densifies washed plastic films, reducing moisture to 1-5% for optimal recycling and enhanced extruder performance.
Get a QuoteThe Challenge of Wet Plastic Films
Recycling post-consumer plastic films presents significant hurdles, primarily due to high moisture content after washing:
- High Moisture Content: Washed film typically holds up to 40% moisture, complicating further processing.
- Ineffective Traditional Drying: Standard vertical dryers often leave 20-30% residual water in lightweight film flakes.
- Recycling Issues Caused by Moisture:
- Inconsistent feeding in recycling extruders.
- Reduced output efficiency and pellet quality.
Our Plastic Film Squeezer Machine directly addresses these challenges.
From Waste Film to Densified Material
Key Features & Benefits
Superior Moisture Reduction
Reduces water moisture in film flakes from 10-35% down to an exceptionally low 1-5%, ideal for pelletizing.
Optimized Density & Volume
Transforms loose film into high-density lumps, reducing volume for easier, stable feeding into extruders.
Accelerated Drying Process
Significantly faster drying for washed film and woven waste compared to traditional centrifugal or hot air methods.
Minimized Material Degradation
Gentle drying process generates less heat, minimizing material degradation and preserving recycled pellet value.
Enhanced Extruder Efficiency
Boosts output capacity and effectiveness of the pelletizing extruder and the overall recycling process.
Improved Pellet Quality
Consistent feeding and low moisture lead to higher-quality recycled pellets with greater reusability.
How It Works: The Squeezing Process
1. Feeding
Washed plastic films, typically still containing significant moisture, are fed into the squeezer machine.
2. High-Pressure Squeezing
A rotating screw forces the material through a specially designed perforated barrel, subjecting the film to intense pressure.
3. Dehydration
Moisture is forcefully squeezed out through the perforations, collected, and drained away, leaving the plastic films much drier.
4. Densification & Extrusion (Optional)
The dried material is compacted. Some models may extrude semi-molten material, which is then cut into pellets or flakes.
5. Discharge
The dried and densified plastic material is discharged, ready for pelletizing or direct reuse.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is a squeezer essential for plastic film recycling?
Plastic films hold significant moisture (up to 40%) after washing. Traditional dryers are often ineffective. A squeezer drastically reduces this moisture to 1-5%, preventing extruder issues and improving output quality and efficiency.
What types of plastic film can this machine process?
Our squeezer is suitable for various washed plastic films, primarily PE (Polyethylene) and PP (Polypropylene) films, including post-consumer films, agricultural films, and industrial film waste.
How does the squeezer improve pellet quality?
By reducing moisture significantly and densifying the material, the squeezer ensures a more consistent and stable feed into the pelletizing extruder. This minimizes voids and imperfections, leading to higher-quality, more uniform pellets.
What about warranty and installation?
Each recycling machine, including our film squeezer, comes with a 1-year limited warranty. We also provide installation services, where our engineers can visit your site to assist with setup. Maintenance and operational consultancy can also be arranged.
