How It Works
A streamlined process from plastic waste to valuable pellets.
Material is fed into the compactor, where it is cut, mixed, and pre-heated for stable feeding into the extruder.
The material is melted and homogenized in the single-screw extruder. A vacuum degassing system removes volatiles.
A hydraulic screen changer filters out any remaining contaminants before the molten plastic proceeds to the pelletizer.
The clean melt is cut into uniform pellets by the water-ring pelletizer and is immediately cooled and dried for bagging.

Tailor It To Your Needs
Choose the ideal pelletizing method for your specific material and production goals.
Water-Ring Pelletizing
Ideal for most PP/PE applications, this method cuts pellets at the die face to create uniform, spherical shapes. It is highly automated and perfect for large-scale production.
Strand Pelletizing
A versatile method where plastic strands are cooled in a water bath before being cut. It offers excellent flexibility for a wide variety of polymers, fillers, and smaller batches.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the maximum allowed moisture for input material?
For optimal pellet quality, input material should be as dry as possible, ideally with a moisture content below 1%. Our extruders can be equipped with a degassing (venting) system to handle slightly higher moisture, but pre-drying is highly recommended for the best results.
What is the difference between water-ring and strand pelletizing?
Water-Ring Pelletizing is a highly automated process that cuts molten plastic directly at the die face, making it ideal for large-scale production of uniform, spherical PP/PE pellets. Strand Pelletizing involves extruding plastic “spaghetti” strands, cooling them in a water bath, and then cutting them, which offers greater versatility for different polymers and additives.
Does this machine include a screen changer?
Yes, a hydraulic screen changer is an essential, standard component of our pelletizing line. It filters contaminants from the molten plastic before it reaches the die, which is crucial for producing clean, high-quality pellets and protecting downstream equipment.
Can I add fillers or masterbatch with this machine?
Yes, our single-screw extruder is suitable for compounding with masterbatch (for color) and certain fillers (like calcium carbonate). For high percentages of fillers or more complex compounding tasks, a twin-screw extruder may be more effective. We recommend discussing your specific recipe with our engineers to ensure the machine is configured for your needs.
